Summer

A birthday and a quick trip to Seattle capped off the first week of summer break. Yes. It was rainy and it didn't really feel like summer but with no school we enjoyed the chance to have no schedule.

Farm chicks

The annual Farm Chicks antiques show at the county fairgrounds was a fun diversion last weekend. Kind of like visual overload, there were literally hundreds of stalls crammed with old, farmy, wonderful stuff. 

I did make a few purchases. This old catalogue sorting draw makes a great planter for my basil.  

And there was another very awesome purchase that I will be blogging about as part of my craft room makeover.
