Election Fever

IMG_2989
My children were so excited last night to watch the election results. I let them stay up passed their bed time because I felt that they were going to see some history in the making. I was surprised to see how politically aware they had become. They even made posters to cheer their candidate on. We felt like we witnessed something pretty special last night....hopefully the beginning of a whole new era.

  1. I love that they made signs and participated! Kids are much more politically aware these days, than when I was a kid . . . I don't think the presidential race was even all that important to me until I made it to voting age. ;) Sounds like you made a fun family night of it. I was curious to hear the results, but not curious enough to stay up past my bedtime. Does that make me a lame excuse for an American? lol

  2. American's make Aussie elections look so boring. It's such a chore to get to the polling booth. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Where abouts in Australia did you grow up?
